da 888casino: Fulham's Danny Murphy has blamed the reckless approach of some managers for the recent spate of horror tackles in the Premier League.
da betsul: Murphy has spoken out following the start to a season which has seen more than its fair share of serious injuries.
Wolves captain Karl Henry has found himself in the spotlight after his tackle broke the leg of Murphy's Cottagers team-mate Bobby Zamora last month.
He followed that up last weekend with an X-rated challenge on Jordi Gomez which the Wigan Athletic forward was lucky to walk away from.
Meanwhile, Manchester City's Netherlands international Nigel de Jong has been criticised for following up is horrific World Cup Final lunge on Xabi Alonso with a challenge which broke the leg of Newcastle United's Hatem Ben Arfa last weekend.
"Your manager dictates what your players do and how you behave," said Murphy at the Leaders in Football Conference.
"You get managers who are sending their teams out to stop other teams playing, which is happening more and more – the Stokes, Blackburns, Wolves.
"They can say it's effective and they have got to win games, but the fact is the managers are sending out their players so pumped up there is inevitably going to be problems.
"Every ship has a captain and that's the manager who is in charge."
Murphy has also rounded on the 'brainless' players who are committing these overly-aggressive tackles.
He added:"The pace in which some players go into tackles now is ridiculous. There's no brains involved in the players who are doing that.
"I don't believe players are going out to break another player's leg but there has to be some logic and intelligence involved.
"If you are going at someone at a certain pace and you don't get it right you are going to hurt them.
"Players should be culpable for that, in terms of punishment I don't know what – but they need to show a little bit more intelligence, especially the ones who are doing it repeatedly."Subscribe to Football FanCast News Headlines by Email
