Tottenham Hotspur succumbed to a fourth successive defeat as they were dumped out of the FA Cup by their Premier League rivals, Norwich City.
The division’s basement boys won on penalties to secure their first quarter-final place since 1992.
Spurs are left staring down the barrel at the prospect of no silverware and no spot in Champions League come the end of the season.
They’ll have to gain traction on the top four, a position they are currently five points behind with ten games remaining while the north Londoners need to overcome an away goal in Germany against RB Leipzig to progress in this year’s tournament.
Despite their disappointing exit in midweek, some fans were full of praise for midfielder Giovani Lo Celso, here’s what has been said…
The Argentine midfielder was described as an “absolute beast” as well as an “animal” while one supporter claimed he pulled the strings.
A further member of the Spurs faithful claimed he was “incredible.”

The numbers may tell a different story, though – as per SofaScore, Lo Celso lost possession 28 times and won just 25% of his 20 duels but he did manage to record four key passes, two tackles and one successful dribble.
He also provided the assist for Jan Vertonghen’s equaliser, leading to calls from some fans over him being the only player performing well lately.
“Consistent” and “world class” were two superlatives used to describe his recent form – his season overall reads just two goals and one assist, via Transfermarkt.
There have also been some comparisons made amongst supporters, including one who believes the Spurs playmaker is better than their north London rivals Arsenal’s equivalent, Mesut Ozil.
Lo Celso was also lauded for being a greater option than former midfielder Christian Eriksen, who joined Inter Milan in January – particularly his ability to put in a better cross.
