During the summer of 2018, Aston Villa signed Tammy Abraham on loan from Chelsea, in a bid to help get them out of the Championship.

The striker endured a relatively tough time in the prior campaign, as he managed just five goals from 31 Premier League appearances during his temporary stay with Swansea City.
However, fans were excited about the prospect of signing him, and it turns out they had plenty of reason to be.
They celebrated the idea of the youngster coming to Villa Park, and their faith was repaid by the now-England international.
He ended up scoring a total of 26 goals and assisting three more in 43 games for the Villans, playing an integral role in the team earning promotion to the Premier League through the play-offs.

One standout game from his time in claret and blue is when he scored four goals during a 5-5 draw against Nottingham Forest, while he also bagged in the play-off semi-final first-leg against West Bromwich Albion.

There were some doubts about Steve Bruce, and surprise that they had managed to pull off the move with the current Newcastle United manager at the helm.
Their questions about him were eventually answered, as he was sacked in October and replaced by Dean Smith.
Changing the manager, while Abraham’s goalscoring knack continued, ensured that Villa went on an upward trajectory towards the Premier League.
He may no longer be at Villa Park, but Abraham has continued to excel this term, getting 15 goals and six assists in 34 games across all competitions for Chelsea – including a hat-trick against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
