West Ham United fans were delighted with Jarrod Bowen’s display against Arsenal on Saturday.
The January signing from Hull City enjoyed a productive attacking display against the Gunners.
Indeed, the Hammers were actually consistent when it came to creating chances, chalking up 14 shots to the Gunners’ nine.
Bowen had three of those himself and hit the post with one of them, while also laying on a key pass, per WhoScored.
Did he really play for us?! No West Ham fan has managed to name all of these obscure Irons signings….
And Hammers fans were impressed with the 23-year-old’s display.
One Hammers fan in particular meanwhile praised Bowen’s work-rate, describing it as insane. And as per Sofascore, it’s no surprise why. The former Hull man made four interceptions (the most of any West Ham player) and won three of his six ground duels too.
Bowen has had a staggered introduction to the starting XI, playing just four times in the Premier League.
He made his first start last weekend versus Southampton and scored in the 3-1 victory and has now helped to rattle the Gunners.
One has to feel that if the Irons are to stay up, Bowen needs to be front and centre of manager David Moyes’ plans.
The defeat on Saturday leaves the Hammers clear of the relegation zone only on goal difference, with games against Wolves, Tottenham Hotspur, and Chelsea looming.
Bowen needs to stay in the team if the Hammers are to take anything from those games.
Meanwhile, West Ham need to shift this man!
